STEM/STEAM Grants for Elementary Schools
How can I find grants and funding sources to bring KIBO into early education centers or elementary schools?
There are many different ways to get STEM/STEAM grants for elementary schools and early educational centers for the purchase of a KIBO robotics program. Below are some resources that can be helpful to find and secure STEM/STEAM grants and funding from different sources:
National Support:
The federal government and other national organizations offer programs to support STEM/STEAM grants in the classroom with a research component associated to it.
State and District Support:
Different states and districts have their own sources for getting funding for STEM/STEAM related programs in the form of grants.
School Support:
Different school systems have ways for funding innovative STEM/STEAM programs, through educational foundations, special grants and dedicated budgets.
PTA Fundraising:
Most schools have a local parent association that can organize and support fundraising events to buy KIBO kits and fund other STEM/STEAM initiatives.
Corporations:
High tech companies are interested in supporting STEM/STEAM programs to cultivate their future workforce. Many of those have associated foundations or a corporate giving program that offer grants and funding to schools and learning centers.
Crowd Funding:
There are also crowd funding sources where educators can request assistance in purchasing STEM/STEAM products and tools such as KIBO. Check out Adopt A Classroom, Digital Wish, Donors Choose (submit a Special Request project!), and PledgeCents.
